The Miracle of Green Tea!

Is any other food or drink reported to have as many health benefits as green tea? The Chinese have known about the medicinal benefits of green tea since ancient times, using it to treat everything from headaches to depression.
But Today, scientific research done by professor said Hasan Mukhtar, a professor of dermatology from University of Wisconsin-Madison demonstrate that low doses of the COX-2 inhibitor celecoxib, administered with a green tea, can slow the growth of human prostate cancer.
Proff.Mukhtar has done other researches on the grean tea, it was 1999 when he said green Tea Can Help Prevent Rheumatoid Arthritis!

Salam.i knw this was posted almost 2yrs back bt id like to knw,is there a specific type of green tea tht has medicinal effect or all do?many types exist eg jasmine,chamomile etc.so i dono the difference btw them.i once used to take it durin med school,to calm my nerves,bt being the somali tht i am(lack continuity,lol) stopped it after a very short period so i never knew the effect.so wat i wana knw now is are all the green teas same or do they hv specific functions?

Diagnostic:
There are basically four different types of tea: white tea, green tea, oolong tea, and black tea.

The variety of green tea depends on it's origin: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Sri Lanka Ceylon, Vietnamese, herbal, and decaf.
But the types you have just mentioned is trade variety.

The different types of green tea emerge due to differing locations on where the tea is grown, slight changes in how the tea is cultivated, the differing climate in locations and a whole host of other factors.

Actually I don't know those functions... but do you like the black tea?
