Dear Somalidoc Members,

My name is Sarah Omar. I am a first year medical student at the University of Toronto (UofT) and part of my studies I have to do some volunteering time. I recently began working at MedShield Group of Canada, a group dedicated in promoting health and wellness to different ethnic groups in Ontario.

After long and arduous planning, I persuaded the group and its management to publish Somali Medical Journal written in English and Somali languages. They put some budget and other resources to achieve my dream in getting this project off the ground. I want to help my fellow Somalis here and elsewhere to get this quarterly journal.

As planned, our first issue will be published on January 1, 2011.

I, therefore, ask you a helping hand in formulating strateg, such as contributors, guidance and more in this matter.

Please help.
