I am quite relieved to find such a site ,especially about doctors. I nearly gave up on that.
However, at last i found it.
i'd graduated in Romania.I was the only Somali in my year in Bucharest. it was tough, feeling lonely, however speaking fluently arabic helped me get though it.
i'd been raised in Aden(Yemen).
Finally , i managed to get full registration with the GMC.

in order to practice medicine in the UK, i need experiece,so i would like to get a medical attachment with the help of a somali doctor.
is there anyone up there to take me under his wing
i speak arabic, Romanian, english, and somali ( ja- jaab).
many thanks

welcome me please

Assalamu alaikum and welcome to the forum.

MashaAllah brother, mabrook on graduating and obtaining your GMC registration.

Don't know if you are still looking for some experience? I have a friend who knows a Muslim consultant in London who was happy to take her and any students/junior doc's to shadow him during his ward rounds. This was last year. According to her he was a great teacher i heard and he is happy to give his time to any muslim medic- not sure if he is still doing that now, but i can't see why not.

If you're interested pm me and i'll find you his details inshaAllah.
Once again congrats!

PS: i think he specialised in acute medicine.
