We seek qualified candidates for the following position based in Nairobi:

Senior Technical Officer for Monitoring and Evaluation

Ref No. FHI-STO-HOPE

Provide technical leadership in a specific technical components for country specific and program wide activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical oversight for designing, development, planning, implementation; and capacity-building of components of global, regional, and/or country-level programs for Executive Office.
Provide desk and on-site technical oversight to country and/or regional programs and institutions, as appropriate.
Participate in resource development and other writing on assigned area activities.
Develop strategies and tools for the design and implementation of specific technical components.
Conduct analysis of program implementation to identify areas of weakness or opportunity vis a vis the appropriate technical strategy and guidelines.
Develop and monitor work plans.
Analyze data sets and technical assessment findings.
Provide leadership and team building at the project level.

Position Requirements:

BS/BA, MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field, and minimum of 5-9 years relevant experience with monitoring and evaluation for HIV/AIDS and/or other public health initiatives.
Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Improvement (QI) processes.
Experience with USG/USAID programs including reporting requirements.
Experience in conducting needs assessment and impact evaluation
