PSI seeks candidates for the position of Program Coordinator. The candidate will provide operational and financial support to PSI and all other partner organizations in the DfID-funded “Harmonized Support for Somali Maternal and Child Health” Consortium. The successful candidate will have experience in project management, strong communication skills and demonstrated analytical abilities in finance and M&E. S/he will have innovative ideas and must demonstrate a true ability to work effectively with a variety of audiences and organizations. The position is based in Hargeisa and reports to the Somaliland Country Representative.

Responsibilities:

Coordinating and collating financial and narrative reporting for the consortium, as per the frequency required by the donor
Assisting in coordinating the annual Output to Purpose Review (OPR) with DFID
Providing formats and consolidating quarterly/annual work plans from each consortium member
Support in coordinating the selection process and contracting external consultants, partners for EPHS etc
Coordinating for logistics supports of the consultants, donor representatives and other internal or external partners visiting Somaliland
Support in soliciting and managing annual audits
Assist in communication required in managing the technical support for monitoring progress against logframe indicators
Assist in coordinating with the VfM consultants
Coordinate with consortium members ensuring compliance of all reporting systems and procedures as per schedule, deadlines and donor policies and procedures
Coordinating quarterly meetings with consortium partners and DFID well in advance to ensure maximum attendance
Assist in documenting and sharing findings and evidence with relevant stakeholders to re-direct interventions as appropriate based on monitoring and evaluation based evidence
Assist in establishing networks of information, collection and sharing of communication materials, and strengthening overall communication capacity of all consortium partners
Build local staff capacity in research, specifically TRaC and MAP and study design
Develop integrated annual research plans for the platform and building capacity of national staff to produce such documents over time
Assist in developing an integrated MIS system for the platform
Other duties as assigned by Country Representative

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline and at least four years of work experience
Graduate degree in relevant discipline preferred
At least two years work experience in a developing country
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet software and data analysis
Must have experience with budgeting and financial reporting requirements , preferably from an NGO environment
Knowledge of PSI financial and M&E processes preferred
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Fluency in spoken and written English
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of audiences and organizations
