Hey,

Would anyone know about transfers to a uni in poland? Im currently studying at a private university in Egypt, just outside Cairo and im considering transferring to a european based university.

Also, Ive heard something about unis in Poland dont need to sit the PLAB - can anyone confirm this? I wouldnt mind working in the UK but at the moment it looks like im heading towards the richer middle east :D

Hi Xaasid  :P

If you are in the first or second year of your studies, I guess it would be possible to transfer to a university in Poland. But I don't know for sure! I know my school doesn't accept transfers. What tranfers have to do here is to start from the first year, but they can get exempted from the courses they already have taken. Its very possible though that some of the "smaller" universities will accept transfers. Sometimes money talks in Poland :P

so,
which year are you in? n why do you wanna leave Egypt?

ps: I have no idea of the PLAB. No tests are required for Scandinavian students when they go back to their countries, so probably the same for UK.

:)

I've been to Poland University for 1 Month didnt like the place, it's too boring without your family.

I got one Question

Is that harm to  answer exam questions on alcohol-related or sexually transmitted diseases?

Is alot of muslim student refusing to attend lectures or answer exam questions

Thanks

Nadiyah Medical student (UK)

to Nadiyah,

Hi, of course you will miss your family where ever you go abroad! 1 month is not enough time to get to know a place well and make good friends. It took me about 3 months to addapt to the life here, but once the school semester starts you don't have time to be bored, all the school work and the tests every other day keeps you busy. New life with new routines. What I love about Poland is the long holidays :P max 1 month - 6 weeks between everytime I go home for vacation :)

and,

It's NOT harm or haram to answer questions about alcohol or STDs, you are just educating yourself, getting knowledge to help other people in the future! I don't see the harm in that. It's really ridiculous if some Muslim medical students in UK are refusing to answer such questions. Why become doctors at all then???

Someone please help me...FROM THE UK...IF YOU ARE FROM THE UK AND ARE STUDYING/HOPING TO STUDY MEDICINE AT POLAND I.E IN GDANSK, PLEASE CONTACT ME.

I HAVE MANY QUESTIONS!!!!

HOW MANY UK Muslim SOMALIS ARE THERE?

HOW MANY UK Muslim ASIANS (INDIAN/PAKI/BENGALI) ARE THERE?

HOW MANY Muslim Indonesians are there?

Is life there lonely?

Do you get a good work:life balance?

How hard is the work compared to A levels in 3 subjects (Biol, chem, economics)? (notice I'm not asking How much harder is the Content, im asking you how much harder do you have to work, Or even easier?

How Skillful do you think you are compared to UK Medical students?

Will you have very few skills compared to UK medical school graduates, once you graduate?

What is the social life like in Poland?

How hard is it to live there? i.e train, bus, coach travel daily. Food.

Interest in Medicine or not, are the lectures Dull?

What are the working hours like in lectures?

How many hours of private study a day do you think is necessary to get you great marks?

How hard will I find the degree...because I have not taken Physics for A level or even AS. I havent taken Maths for A level or AS either.

Do people always fail semesters?

BSc in Biomedical science at Kings College London/ Warwick University or MBBS in Poland?

Are there any Mosques in Gdansk?

Activities that I could do in that area that doesnt cost too much, nor will be too boring?

How long are the Holidays?

How much work will we have to do in the Holidays?

THANK YOU SOO MUCH EVERYONE.

SALAM.

Tanj
