Position:   Medical Coordinator
Job site:    Somalia, Afgooye corridor and El-Irfid
Duration:   6 months since 1th July to 31th December 2011- 5 days per month.
Report to:   Project Manger
Status:      Collaborator/ Full-time

Purpose/objectives:
The Medical coordinator, qualified doctor, is responsible for supporting the work of 3 sanitation mobile teams (two in Afgooye corridor and one in El-Irfid). He/she coordinates health activities, according to the AID 9515 project. He/she is in charge of train and supervision of the mobile teams, ensuring, that the overall projects are met, and the field staff communicate information.

Responsibilities/ duties:

1. Medical doctor, Master’s degree from Medical University.
2. Three year experience related to diploma..
3. Previous, well documented, experience in public health or as health coordinator in other organizations (Preferred experience coordinating with International and national organizations and government authorities).
4. Minimum of three years of medical coordination experience in Somalia
5. Three years monitoring and evaluation experience with the element of staff management.
6. Ability to relate to and motivate local staffs effectively.
7. Ability to work in remote insecure areas
8. Experience in community outreach and liaising with stakeholder.
9. Fluent in spoken and written English and Italian as advantage.
10    Stress-resilient and strong mentally to be able to cope with difficult situation, deadlines and complex problems.
11. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
12. Computer skills, deep knowledge of Word, Exel and Outlook.
