Islamic Relief is an international NGO established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. IR’s main objective is to promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities through relief and development activities.

We aim to help the needy regardless of race, religion or gender.

To respond to the humanitarian crises in Somalia, the following vacancies are available in IR Somalia programme.

Job Title: Emergency Program Manager
Location: Bay and Bakool-Somalia
No: 1
Minimum Qualifications and Experiences: University degree in international development or relevant field and minimum of 5 years experience in coordinating humanitarian and emergency operations.

Job Title: Emergency Programme Coordinator
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
No: 1
Minimum Qualifications and Experiences: Masters degree in management, social science or a relevant discipline and at least 4 years programme experience in humanitarian setting and at least 2 years in senior position within international NGOs.

Job Title: Food Security Coordinator
Location: Baidoa, Somalia
No: 1
Minimum Qualifications and Experiences: Relevant qualification in Nutrition, Agriculture or Food Science or related field and at least 2-3 years of experience in the field, preferably in the NGO sector.

Job Title: Wash Coordinator
Location: Baidoa, Somalia

Minimum Qualifications and Experiences: Relevant qualification in Water Resources Engineering or related field and minimum 3-5 years of experience in project formulation, management, policy and strategy research and formulation, preferably in the NGO sector.

Job Title: Health Coordinator
Location: Baidoa, Somalia

Minimum Qualifications and Experiences: University degree in public Health or equivalent with substantial relevant experience in Health sector and at least 4 years previous experience in senior or responsible position, developing and implementing health projects.

Job Title: Learning and Accountability Coordinator
Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Minimum Qualifications and Experiences: Advanced degree in social sciences or related field and minimum 3 years of working experience with a humanitarian organization, including in emergency contexts. Strong networking skills, ability to liaise with multiple partners and with senior management is required.

Job Title: Humanitarian Program Officer
Location: 1
No: Nairobi, Kenya
Minimum Qualifications and Experiences: Post Graduate degree in development studies/international development with professional and relevant experiences with international NGOs and UN agencies. At least 3-5 years technical/management experience in humanitarian programs out of which 2 years in emergency related programs focusing on WASH, cash/food for work, and livelihoods support.
