Title: Yellow fever Vaccine

Is it important to take vaccine against yellow fever if one is planning to travel to somalia [is it common there in our homeland]. alf shukr.

According to WHO policy, Somalia is considered among areas with risk of yellow fever transmission and therefore Yellow fever vaccine is recommended.
The vaccination is taken 10 days prior to your travel and it provides protection for 10 years after a single injection.
It's not that common & the vaccination is due to that Somalia is in the yellow fever endemic zone only.
