MSF-CH is seeking candidates for the post of:
Laboratory Technician
To support its humanitarian operations in Somalia
Location: Mogadishu
Start Date: Immediate
Scope of responsibilities:
The Laboratory Technician will ensure the smooth functioning of the laboratory.
He/she will work according to the medical prescription, perform laboratory exams according to context, with the appropriate techniques, and according to standard protocols approved by MSF.
He/she will give information to the relevant persons (ward/doctors/nurse according to context) about the results, respecting confidentiality.
He/she will always ensure that sample results are correctly registered and reported.
He/she will train all MD’s in the project in performing and follow up of blood transfusion.
Recruitment criteria:
Certificate of Laboratory Technician
Experience in a similar role, previous experience with MSF will be an added advantage.
Somali language and Good command of English (written & spoken) preferred.
Basic computer skills(word, excel, email/internet).
