In order to reinforce our national team, we are looking for our emergency project in Kenya, several national staff position :

Psychologist NATIONAL STAFF POSITION

Reporting to: Child Protection Programme Manager Duty station: Alinijugur, Garissa County Contract duration: 12 months (with 3-month probation period)

Main responsibilities: - Under the supervision of the Child Protection Programme Manager, to conduct needs assessments and project evaluations aiming at contributing to the development of the Child Protection Programme’s strategy for both local and refugee community projects in (a) Dadaab refugee complex and (b) rural divisions of Lagdera and Fafi. - To coordinate with the Health Project team and support them in the implementation of their activities by conducting needs assessments and evaluations. - To train and support the Child Protection team members and develop basic knowledge and behaviour to conduct child friendly interviews and to identify vulnerable children and family members to be referred for further psychological assessment. - To train and support the Health Project team members and develop basic knowledge and behaviour to conduct child friendly interviews and care. - To conduct psychological individual evaluations for vulnerable children and their families identified through Tdh Health and Child Protection projects. - To provide psychological support to selected vulnerable cases. Requirements: - Minimum bachelor degree in psychology. Clinical experience is a plus. - Minimum 3 years’ experience as child psychologist. - Project reporting and evaluation experience. - Fluency in English, Kiswahili and local dialect. - Willingness to live at village level in main project sites.
