Salaamu Alikum
Well, the U/S showed 2 different things.
1-enlarged Uterus
2- Septated Cyst.
i can’t, and no one can tell you whether she has a serious disease or not. i ll need full medical history and what was the reason she had the U/S. What i can tell you what is Enlarged Uterus, and septated cyst.
Very important information is her age.....
Enlarged uterus: it just means large uterus (ILMO GALEYNKA OO WEYNAADEY). What could be the causes; again age is an important...... if she had many deliveries (baby) and this is normal, but if she is an 80yrs old it’s different story.
Septated cyst. Cyst is a collection of fluid in a pouch, and this could be due to many different cause, it may be physiological or benign ( it just means nothing to worry).
Septated means separation of the cyst by thin layer. One cyst separated by thin layer becomes septated cyst. Again, we need some more information like the size of the cyst, was the fluid thick or just clear one.
Finally most of the septated cyst that i have seen were normal and disappears in time,
Enlarged uterus with someone who had many children again i wouldn’t worry.
Please note that , is not possible to make a final conclusion based on ultrasound alone.
If u need more detail information send me the full history.
