JOB VACANCY: MIDWIFE

EXTERNAL/INTERNAL RECRUITMENT

MSF-CH is seeking candidates for the post of:

MIDWIFE

Location:        Dinsor Project

Start date:      Immediate

 
Scope of responsibilities:

    * To ensure all staff comply with the health and safety rules / instructions related to the job.
   * Perform correctly physical examination and perform/order necessary laboratory examinations
    * To examine the pregnant woman regularly during ante natal care.
    * To perform delivery, episiotomy and suture appropriately.
    * To assess the baby directly after birth and inform mother on infant care.
    * To report daily activities, collect the treatments in the pharmacy and ensure that the patients cards are filled properly.
    * To assess and treat accordingly any other women’s health issues that may pass through the clinic.
    * To reinforce links and liaise with community TBA in collaboration of the Obstetric Liaison, and evaluate their skills in home setting.

Recruitment criteria:

    * Successful experience in the field of humanitarian aid, preferably with MSF
    * Extensive experience working in Maternity/reproductive health wards and handling complicated deliveries.
    * Maternity/Reproductive health training
    * Basic level of English knowledge is preferable
    * Must posses Somali speaking skills.

    * Ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural people
    * Ability to listen, Diplomacy
