hello, umm i can answer your question
am a student nurse in College of nursing in kuwait
and i was in maternity this semester
Lochia is the vaginal discharge of  uterine lining, the blood that begins to flow after delivery (post partum bleeding)
there is 3 types of lochia, Serosa, rubra and alba
1-Lochia rubra : for the first few days, its red blood and possibly small clots lasts no longer than 3 to 5 days after birth.

2- Lochia serosa : is the term for lochia which has thinned and turned brownish or pink in color. It contains serous"Exudate, cervical mucus and all".

3- Lochia alba:  is the name for lochia once it has turned whitish or yellowish-white. It typically lasts from the second through the third to sixth week after delivery. It contains fewer RBC"red blood cells" and some epithelial cells and fats.

Lochia generally has an odor similar to that of normal menstrual fluid. Any offensive odor indicates a possible infection and should be reported to a healthcare provider

hope that i answered your question,
it was nice 2 refresh my mind with old questions
