"my first time in this HOUSE, Somalian-house"
DANGO:
as/c...all,
this is my first in Somalidoc, thus I decided to join imediately, "no fear"! ;D.
I'm 2nd year medical student in the Caribbean. Yes, I say, in Caribbean b/c I couldn't make the cut in the US. So if anyone has/have question (s) about the Caribbean medical schools pleaseeeeeeee let me know.. (I almost know more in Caribbean then I know my home country, Somalia).
So far there are about 20 Somali medical students going 5 different medical schools.. I think about 9-11 somali medical students/doctors are either graduated, residency, or in clinical.
How Caribbean medicals work? you spend 4-6 semesters (16-20 months) in the caribbean and rest in the US. They are easier to get-in and cheaper than the US & Canadain medical schools.

Dr. Adnan, you miss the "point" brother, that was "conventional phrase" to give the people an opportunity to ask questions. "Not ignore of mine not knowing of my homeland'. But still, lol. 8)
PrincessMuni:
Oh! Welcome to SD Forums .. i was more like "WHAT IS THIS FLAG"?
thought u just made one or something lool
Caribbean aa <-- i know the beach is amazing as well!!!
you study next to the white sand and the blue sea
amazing wallah!! all the best !!
can anyone study there?? or they need people with specific nationalities??? "Meaning: can Somali ppl with Somali passport inter there and study medicine"?
DANGO:
prince-Muni,
you can study here (in the Caribbean) as long you have $$$. The only problem is where will you do your clinical rotations, most Caribbean schools have their clinical's in the US. Thus, the Somali passport won't work. If u have EU passport u can do your clinical rotation in UK most of the time.
btw, beaches here are lovely; white sands, clear blue ocean and Tropical weather,
the Caribbean's are know as the "World's Best Kept Secret".
