Since the development of the hybridoma technology, there have been major advances in the immunophenotypic characterization of heamopoietic malignancies.
Prior to the availability of monoclonal antibodies(McAbs), it was possible to distinguish B from T Lymphocytes.

So how many ways of testing Immunological cell markers?

Diagnostic:
T cell markers are (CD2, CD3, CD4, CD5, CD7, and CD8), B cell markers are (CD19 and CD20) and myeloid/monocytic markers are (CD13, CD14, CD15, and CD33)
