Over the past three years, The International Medical Student’s Conference has been instrumental in creating a resourceful network of future 
health professionals who strive to improve the healthcare of underserved populations. The conference mission emphasizes the importance of
creating community leaders who have the passion and courage to meet the demands of a rapidly changing society. Their success is dependent on
planting and cultivating seeds in high school, undergraduate, and medical students who have the desire to make a difference in their communities.

It is with pleasure that we invite you to the 4th International Medical Students Conference to be held Jumuia Conference and Country Home, 
Limuru, Kenya from the 27th to 31st July 2010.

The theme of the conference is Promoting Pediatrics and Child Health; Safeguarding the future

Background
The International Medical Students Conference has emerged as a cornerstone activity for Medical Students Association of Kenya (MSAKE), an event 
in which both students and professionals have gathered with high anticipation to attend a wide range of educational and networking events. The
conference attracts students from all levels of medical education and is consistently the largest gathering of under-represented minority medical
students at any time of the year, in any place in the nation. The conference is held each year in locations around the country and serves to
enhance the student’s career development, provide continuing education, facilitate networking among medical students, bolster the effectiveness 
of our local community service programs and recognize the achievements of members.

Objectives
The main aim of the conference is to create, promote and sustain a continual conducive forum for scientific and academic discourse between health
science students, medical practitioners and health care providers in matters of Pediatrics and Child Health.

Who Will Attend?
Nearly 500 medical students, pre-medical students, and physicians will attend the 4th International Medical Students Conference. Past sponsorship
and exhibitor involvement has included medical schools and residency programs from around the region, pharmaceutical companies, health related
NGO’s, book publishers, financial institutions, national and local community associations, government agencies, private health care practices and
retailers.
