Health Poverty Action works with some of the poorest and most marginalised communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America, often in very difficult environments. We work to enable these communities to achieve improvements to their health, promoting this as one of their fundamental human rights.

Somaliland Programme Manager (15 month contract with possibility of extension)

Salary £22,156 per year + 5% pension + $600US a month accommodation allowance + home/regional flight every 8 weeks + 6 weeks of annual leave + 1 week of R&R leave every 8 weeks + 12 days of national holidays

The post provides leadership and overall management in Somaliland, ensuring good financial and general administration of projects, staff, finances and assets for the country programme. The postholder will represent the organisation in Somaliland, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with Government, partners, donors and other stakeholders.

We want hear from you if you have proven commitment to addressing global poverty issues; if you are qualified in public health; have proven skills in project cycle management, preferably gained in Sub-Saharan Africa; have excellent communication skills; and are committed to working with marginalized communities. You must be fluent in English.
