An extraordinary little girl has just left hospital in South Africa. three year old Pippie Kruger wasn't expected to survive after 80 per cent of her skin was burned off in an accident at a family barbeque last December. During nine months
in hospital she suffered five cardiac arrests and underwent 45 operations, including a series of procedures to graft back her own skin which had been cloned in a laboratory in the United States. Pippie has made miraculous progress.

Matthew Bannister spoke to Pippie's mother Anice and the surgeon who carried out the revolutionary skin graft, Dr Rhidwan. You can hear their story on the latest editon of Outlook.
