May you get a clean bill of health from your dentist, your cardiologist, your gastro-enterologist, your urologist, your proctologist, your podiatrist, your psychiatrist, your plumber and the I.R.S.

May your hair, your teeth, your face-lift, your abs and your stocks not fall; and may your blood pressure, your triglycerides, your cholesterol, your white blood count and your mortgage interest not rise.

May New Year's Eve find you seated around the table, together with your beloved family and cherished friends. May you find the food better, the environment quieter, the cost much cheaper, and the pleasure much more fulfilling than anything else you might ordinarily do that night.

May what you see in the mirror delight you, and what others see in you delight them. May someone love you enough to forgive your faults, be blind to your blemishes, and tell the world about your virtues.

May the telemarketers wait to make their sales calls until you finish dinner, may the commercials on TV not be louder than the program you have been watching, and may your check book and your budget balance - and include generous amounts for charity.

My first year in SD and I was surprised to see so many different opinions and civilized way of talking to each other cause I heard Somalis tend to insult each other but not here. Thank you ladies and gentlemen I wish you a happy new year and also Islamic New Year should be around second week of January.

For welcoming the Islamic New Year, I would like to say:

" Happy Islamic New Year 1429. (10 January 2008) for you all and best wishes for the upcoming days in your lives and wish that we will have more interesting topics in this forum, and forgive me if I said something that offended or hurted any members here as I am only a human being and I am not a shaitan with perfect badness, and I am not an angel with perfect kindness."

My classmates, country fellows and I will have a pray-gathering and du'a in the last day of 1428 and hope the best things in everything given than before for me for us and for the whole world.

I just logged in SomaliDoc to say Happy New Year and may the next provide us with all our wishes. I am currently very busy with exams and  hope you dont forget us in your dua's. I will be away therefore for a short period of time, inshallah.
