20 days old boy, came to benadir hospital paediatric ward with his mother complaining from symptoms and signs of dehydration,weight loss, vomiting projectile in nature.
on examintion the baby had visible peristalsis after each feeding,irritable and crying all the time with poor sleeping.

1-what is the most probable diagnosis?
2-what is the most likely investigation?
3-what is the most differential diaggnosis?
4-how to manage this case?

1-what is the most probable diagnosis?
the most probable diagnosis is congenital pyloric stenosis.
2-what is the most likely investigation?
radiological invvestigation using contrast media(barium) or by ultrasonography.
3-what is the most differential diaggnosis?
Feeding problem or milk intolerance.
Gastro-oesophageal reflux.
Gastroenteritis.
Duodenal atresia, oesophageal atresia or other bowel obstruction in the newborn.
Intestinal malrotation.
Acute midgut volvulus.
bacterial meningitis.
4-how to manage this case?
treatment is surgical.
