Merlin Kenya Programme Announces 2 Vacancies

We are currently seeking to recruit highly skilled and experienced professionals with significant NGO working knowledge to join our field teams within Merlin Kenya Programme.

Project Health Coordinator-Nyanza (Based in Kisii)

The Project Health Coordinator will have overall responsibility for the technical management of Merlin’s health projects in Nyanza Province in collaboration with provincial and district health
authorities. The project portfolio include PEPFAR funded HIV/AIDS/TB and Global Fund Malaria, HIV/AIDS and TB interventions.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

Bachelors degree in medicine and surgery (MBChB). A post graduate qualification in MPH will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years experience in managing health programmes in a developing country context preferrably in the field of HIV/AIDS/TB and malaria.
Proven experience in the NGO sector particularly in relation to project proposal development, project cycle management and donor reporting.

Health Information Systems Officer-Nyanza (Based in Kisii)

He/she will have responsibility for health information management particularly in processing HIV/AIDS/TB and malaria data. The job will also entail building the capacity of MoH partners in data collection, recording, analysis, reporting and use in planning.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

Diploma in medical records or any other related course and at least three years working in similar positions.
Analytical, research and monitoring and evaluation skills.
Competence in spreadsheet and statistical computer packages such as SPSS and Epi-info.
Previous experience managing HIV/AIDS/TB and malaria data and extensive knowledge of relevant measurement indicators.
