Role and Responsibilities
Manage the Medair health programme in Somaliland, partly implemented in partnership with local NGOs. Anticipate, plan, and contribute to the development of new health project proposals. Provide technical support to national staff for the implementation of high-quality care in all health projects. Manage all health project staff. Provide supervision to the health programme in Somaliland.

Health, Nutrition, WASH programme in Togdheer region, Somaliland. Potential projects include livelihood programmes, emergency responses and/or expansion of initial programmes into new areas with critical needs based on new assessments.
Workplace: Based in Burao, Togdheer region, Somaliland

Qualifications
•Medical Doctor or registered general nurse
•Tropical Disease or Community Health Certification desirable
Experience / Competencies
•5 years clinical experience
•Experience in setting up and implementing primary health care
•2 years management experience and 1 year of overseas experience in humanitarian setting
•Experience in leadership / management of teams
•Experience in activity planning & time management

•At least one year of professional experience in a relevant field (more experience preferred)
•Minimum 3 months inter-cultural overseas experience
•Willing to commit to Medair for a minimum of one year

•Able to live and work with a multicultural team under difficult conditions

•Successful completion of Medair Relief & Rehabilitation Orientation Course (ROC)
