The Local Project Manager will be responsible for the overall implementation of this 6-month project. With technical and managerial support, he/she will ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are met in a timely and effective manner. He/she will provide appropriate mentorship to three supervisors and promote coordination among the local stakeholders: 1 local NGOs, 21 IDP Committees, health clinics and socioeducational partners.

The suitable candidate is required for the following purposes: 1. Supervising all the components of the GBV project in Galkayo: psychosocial services (counseling, socioeducational activities, etc.), sensitization activities and community trainings; 2. Ensuring cooperation with the local partners in Galkayo; 3. Ensuring cooperation with local and central authorities; 4. Supervising GRT staff employed by the project; 5. Representing GRT with Somali authorities and at local meetings; 6. Monitoring, follow-up and reporting to GRT?s Project Manager in Nairobi.

The Local Project Manager will report to the Project Manager in Nairobi and works closely with GRT Liaison Officer in Galkayo as well as with GRT Local Project Coordinators based in Bosaso.
