Position:   Hygiene promotion coordinator
Job site: Somalia, Afgooye Corridor
Duration: 4 months since 1th September to 31th December 2011
Report to:   Project Manger
Status:    Collaborator/ Full-time

Purpose/objectives:
The Sanitation Expert is responsible for the implementation of the sanitation activities for AID 9515 project. He/she coordinates the promotion of the hygiene among the community, formation of the group of voluntaries, monitors the sanitation kits distribution and verification of the sanitation activities.

Qualifications required:
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in the Water and Sanitation or Social and Management field. Master’s preferred.
2. Three year experience managing WASH programs and initiatives, in particularly hygiene promotion.
3. Previous, well documented, experience with other organization working on related field (Preferred experience coordinating with International and national organizations and government authorities).
4. Three years monitoring and evaluation experience over Sanitation programs with the element of staff management.
5. Knowledge in health hygiene and its developments in Somalia
6. Experience in community outreach and liaising with stakeholder.
7. Fluent in spoken and written English and Italian as advantage.
8. Stress-resilient and strong mentally to be able to cope with difficult situation, deadlines and complex problems.
9. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
10  Computer skills, deep knowledge of Word, Exel and Outlook.
