Based in Gedo Region, Somalia with travel to Nairobi as and when required. One (1) year contract with possibility of extension. Job Ref: 06/TSP/2013

The Role Purpose

Reporting to the Zonal Coordinator, the position holder will be responsible to ensure a high quality nursing/midwifery service at the district level. He/She will work alongside the DHB staff, delivering on the job training and mentoring staff in all nursing departments and programmes at the district level.

Qualifications

Qualified Nurse/Midwife with a minimum of (2) years experience working in health programmes in hardship environments, ability to work to a high standard in a multi cultural team lead and to motivate staff and to achieve programme staff results, ability to work with minimum supervision, analytical skills, good communication skills and ability to work under pressure. Experience working in Somalia context will be an added advantage.
